Dr. Melissa M. Alvarez Perez MD

I’m Dr. Melissa M. Alvarez Perez, a physiatrist practicing in Lady Lake, Florida with over a decade of specialized experience. After completing my medical education at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, I furthered my training with a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, followed by a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at UPMC. My practice focuses on helping patients with disabilities restore function and improve their quality of life, particularly those with neurological conditions and complex injuries. I hold multiple board certifications including Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Brain Injury Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. As a physiatrist, I develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient’s unique needs, helping them regain independence and achieve optimal functioning.
