Dr Samantha J. Stuek, MD

I’m Dr. Samantha Stuek, an Assistant Attending Physician at the Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in family and sports medicine. My passion for helping patients stay active stems from my own experience as a collegiate athlete at Johns Hopkins University, where I competed in field hockey and track and field before facing an ACL injury. This personal journey led me to pursue medicine, with the goal of assisting others in overcoming sports-related injuries and maintaining their active lifestyles. I earned my medical degree from New York Medical College, followed by a residency in family medicine with a focus on sports medicine at INOVA-Fairfax Family Practice. To further specialize, I completed a fellowship at the University of Connecticut, where I served as a team physician for university sports, including the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, Division III Eastern Connecticut University teams, and the Hartford Athletics professional soccer team. Beyond clinical practice, I remain active in the sports community, volunteering as a medical provider for major events such as the NYC Marathon, Boston Marathon, and IronMan competitions. My professional interests include treating running-related injuries, sports-related conditions in women, and performing ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections. I am dedicated to helping athletes and active individuals of all ages achieve their health and performance goals.
